Contra Costa County Public Law Library Recognition
CCC Public Law Library Recognition – I am extremely honored to be receiving such an important recognition from the Contra Costa County Public Law Library. I am earnestly grateful for the recognition I have received for my work. I don’t volunteer and teach classes for recognition. My goal is to help others, the gratitude and appreciation I get to experience at the end of the class is far more rewarding. But, don’t get me wrong I was more than honored to be recognized. I am happy that they see me as a valuable member of the team.
Not only do I get to meet and interact with some AMAZING people, all of which are curious and eager to learn, but also get to see some who are stressed, overwhelmed and uncomfortable with taking on such an important task. By the end of the class I am delighted that not only have I been able to help them learn, I have helped build their confidence, eased some of their stress and assured each and every person that I am available for any additional questions or assistance needed as they tackle the court accounting.
My Journey
I began this journey some 5 or 6 years ago under the tenure of Judge John H. Sugiyama, Probate judge for Contra Costa Superior Court. It is with pleasure that I, along with attorney Rex L. Crandell, put together a presentation/class to assist self represented parties on how to complete the court required probate accounting. This accounting is required for Conservatorships, Guardianships and some probate cases. It is also a requirement for most Trust Administrations (which are handled outside of Court). From our first class to now, each class we have given has had tremendous success and many participants. The class can be taken just once or as many times as a person feels they need it. Every class follows the same outline so after taking it the first time, the second time is just a refresher.
My Sincere “Thank You”
I sincerely thank each and every one of the Contra Costa County Public Law Library Board of Trustees for helping me reach a stage where I can proudly hold up this award as a mark of my achievement. I also promise to only get better at my work and continue providing a great service to the community and anyone outside the community who seeks the guidance and training that I can offer. On a closing note, all I want to tell each one of you, is that you should never, give up, even if you are convinced that it’s over. It’s not over unless you want it to be. You’ve got this and I am here for you anytime you need me.
I faithfully with honor, integrity and dedication continue to serve and help the citizens of Contra Costa County receive access to legal information and instruction in the area of court accounting!
